Energy Monitor

The Energy monitor function block allows you to use a PV Inverter to show electricity production information on the Loxone user interface.

INTRODUCTION

You can choose to enable statistics on the Energy monitor block so that you can track the import, self-consumption, total consumption and total yield. The block also has outputs for total, daily, weekly etc consumption and production so you can use this information elsewhere in your configuration.

BASIC SETUP

You can connect an arbitrary energy meter to the function block’s object inputs. Choose “Object Inputs” in the Data Source drop-down menu. A programming illustration:

You also need to enter the unit prices so that the information for costing is displayed correctly in the user interface. Take a look at the overview section for more information on these parameters.

COMMUNICATE WITH A PV-INVERTER

To obtain data from a PV-inverter, choose “Fronius” or “Kostal” as Data Source. In the Properties window you can adjust IP-address and Device number. Data will be received periodically every minute.
